“E’ ‘un bianco petto trafitto’.
(...) La creta improntata dalla
mano lo agita dolcemente in
superficie come il vento fa
col grano. E’ un dolce petto
umano con il cuore che batte
sommesso in mezzo una
frana. Non una realtà nei suoi
profili, nei suoi colori, ma
aggiungendo la creta e
scavandola, muovendo il suo
strato nel vuoto dove cresce,
si sente di fare ‘nudo’ o ‘ulivo’
o ‘roccia’.”

“It is a ‘white wounded breast’.
(...) The handprints in the clay
create a sweetly animated
surface like the wind over a
wheat field. It is a sweet
human breast with a heart,
which beats submissively
and within a furrow. It does
not become reality through
its outlines or its colours, but
by adding and removing clay,
by moving a layer in the void
where it grows, it ties itself to
a thousand experiences, it
desires to become a ‘nude’ or
an ‘olive tree’ or a ‘rock’.”
