Libby Larsen - I It Am: The Shewings of Julian of Norwich

A cantata, in five movements, is an exposition of human experience revealed to us through the writings of Julian of Norwich and her European contemporaries. Focusing on a theme of unity (one is all = all is one), Larsen researched periods of history where cultures coexisted in a civilisation of respect and admiration leading her to the Andulusian and European culture of the period around 750- 1492, and the teaching that within each person is dark and light, and through experiences, as humans we ultimately love.
