NEWS yachting CRN M/Y

NEWS yachting CRN M/Y 135 On 16 March, the Ancona-based shipyard launched this wonderfully sleek 79m yacht in a ceremony where more than 1,000 guests watched the fully custom steel hull and aluminium superstructure glide into the sea. Architectural firm Zuccon International Project crafted the exterior lines, while Laura Sessa designed the interiors, which are spread across five decks and accommodate 12 guests with an impressive crew of 39 to ensure complete comfort. crn-yacht.com ROSSINAVI WorkS in Progress Last year was a very busy year for the Viareggio-based custom yacht-builder, delivering both the M/Y Utopia and M/Y Flying Dagger. This year five vessels are under construction, and the focus is on innovation and cutting-edge technology. At a recent visit to the Rossinavi lab, known as the Magazzino, they were experimenting with a host of new materials and crafting a tender that is sure to make waves when launched. rossinavi.it RIVA 90‘ Argo The peak of Italian design comes together for the 27.4m craft with a new cockpit layout, 46sq m flybridge and a double master cabin, though the influence was Greek mythology. “Argo was the first ever ship to sail the seas and the famous Argonauts set out in it on their quest to find the Golden Fleece,” explains Alberto Galassi, the Ferretti Group CEO, about the mythic origins of the name for the craft, which was created in partnership with the Officina Italiana Design studio. riva-yacht.com BAGLIETTO Silver Fox The latest 47.6m displacement yacht from Baglietto is as ethereally beautiful as its namesake, with exterior and interior design by Francesco Paszkowski. Sleeping 12 guests and nine crew across three decks, she has a maximum cruising range of 4,500nm at 12kn and an active fin stabiliser to keep calm both underway and at anchor. The Baglietto firm, which began in 1854 in Varazze, Italy, was given new life by the Gavio Group in 2012, and, as this yacht proves, is now reaching new heights. baglietto.com PHOTOS CLOCKWISE FROM TOP: MAURIZIO PARADISI, FEDERICO FERRETTI, ALBERTO COCCHI 74 CENTURION-MAGAZINE.COM

ISA YACHTS M/Y Agora III The first all-aluminium semidisplacement ISA Alloy 43 yacht was delivered in March this year in Italy, and she will soon be the largest private yacht in Japan, with an overall length of 43m. Inspired by automotive style – note the gull-wing doors at the wheelhouse, the roof and roll-bar mouldings, the ventilation grilles – the clean-lined craft was dreamt up, both outside and in, by Florence-born designer Luca Dini, with naval architecture by Francesco Rogantin. isayachts.com SANLORENZO From SHIPYARD TO COURTYARD For this year’s Salone del Mobile in Milan the Italian boatbuilder Sanlorenzo and its creative director Piero Lissoni staged a full-size skeleton of the Sanlorenzo SX112 in one of the historic courtyards of Milan University. Unexpected, immense and exceptionally beautiful, the sculpture was a surprise highlight of the week-long event and confirmed the brand’s industry-leading creative credentials – a silhouette capable of stirring the soul despite being stripped of its usual context. sanlorenzoyacht.com LÜRSSEN M/Y Madsummer Just two-and-a-half years after the keel for Project Fiji was laid in Rendsburg, Northern Germany, the brand new 95m superyacht was delivered to its American owner. With exterior design by Harrison Eidsgaard and an interior by Laura Sessa (and the expertise of Moran Yacht & Ship brought to bear on the project as a whole), the masterpiece accommodates up to 20 guests in ten cabins and features an epic 12m swimming pool on the main deck, a built-in crane, an extensive spa and much more – it’s sure to be the site of many mad summers to come. lurssen.com PHOTOS FROM TOP: MAURIZIO PARADISI, © SANLORENZO, CARL GROLL CENTURION-MAGAZINE.COM 75
