AN UP CLOSE MUSIC AND DINING ENCOUNTER WITH AUSTRIAN VIOLINIST BENJAMIN SCHMID AT KEE CLUB CENTURION HOSTED A MAGNETIC EVENING OF SOULFUL MUSIC AND SCRUMPTIOUS FOOD AT KEE CLUB, FEATURING STAR VIOLINIST BENJAMIN SCHMID SUPPORTED BY HONG KONG SINFONIETTA. Hailed as “one of the most valuable of today’s golden-age-violinists” by The New York Sun, Schmid brings a fresh perspective to the works of classical masters. This exclusive occasion welcomed Centurion members to an evening of both culture and leisure, as they enjoyed a dinner prepared by Chef Roland Levy Schuller while accompanied by a performance by Mr. Schmid on his exquisite 1731 Stradivarius Violin. The evening began with a cocktail reception, where guests were eased into the anticipated events that followed. The night progressed with a live performances by Benjamin Schmid, followed by Chef Schuller’s sumptuous Italian fare. Throughout dinner, Mr. Schmid interacted with Centurion members, sharing his thoughts on the music played throughout the night. CENTURION GOLF CHAMPIONSHIP 2014 TOURNAMENT REPORT THE FRESH AUTUMN BREEZE, UNHAMPERED SUNLIGHT AND AMAZING VIEWS WELCOMED NEARLY 80 ENTHUSIASTIC MEMBERS TO THE CLEAR WATER BAY GOLF CLUB FOR THE 2014 GOLF CHAMPIONSHIP. Familiar faces eager to compete arrived on the course at noon, where flights set off from a shot-gun start. Play progressed swiftly, allowing golfers to beat the gathering dusk, finishing with scores on par with professionals at the Hong Kong Golf Open, a true testament to the exceptional golfing skills of this year’s competitors. As always, the support from our sponsors were strong and generous, including prizes and gifts from The Peninsula Hotels, J. Lindeberg, Jebsen’s Fine Wines, The Leading Hotels of the World. The evening peaked when trophies and awards were presented to the champion, first and second runners, Men and Women’s Best Gross Score, Longest Drive, Nearest to Pin and Best Dressed golfer. This was a fulfilling display of competition and camaraderie. Centurion members displayed effort and drive, truly a competition our golfing members will look back to in the coming years.
