News Bosch Heralds

News Bosch Heralds Heightened Customer Experience Harald Friedrich CEO of Bosch Home Appliances At this year's IFA press conference, Bosch mounted a spectacular presentation featuring a number of speakers who introduced the audience to a wealth of the "hands-on" technology spread across its twostorey stand. According to Harald Friedrich, CEO of Bosch Home Appliances, the company’s focus this year is on a heightened customer experience. “We're placing particular emphasis on the quality with which the products we're showcasing are experienced by customers, because the more emotionally we can get our messages across, themore strongly they remain in people’s memories,” he said. “From autumn onwards, Bosch will only offer refrigerators in the energy efficiency class A+ and higher, and by doing so give a clear signal in favour of more energy efficiency. Moreover, we are exclusively showcasing t h o s e c h a r a c t e r i s t i c s that make the brand so unmistakable, such as solidity and value, technical competence, responsibility and reliability. This is why Bosch is also highlighting its service philosophy, its design capabilities and its intelligent home device networking activities. Excitement and fascination is guaranteed for every single day that we are here.” In 2011, the Bosch Group celebrates its 125 th anniversary, and company founder Robert Bosch, who would have been 150-years-old in 2011, was already committed to the company’s guiding principle that still endures today — of producing "technology for life". Treating people and nature with respect has been a corporate principle from the beginning and is reflected in the company's energy-efficient, resourceconserving and sustainable products and processes. Siemens ‘builds bridges to the future’ At the Siemens press conference yesterday morning — for the past several years, the opening event of the IFA press days — CEO Siemens Electrogeräte GmbH Roland Hagenbucher introduced a range of new products grouped under the banner "Experience technology and design with all the emotions". “I hope you arrived here by the South Entrance, where our XXL washing machine is positioned,” Hagenbucher told a packed auditorium. “And I hope you will come to the iDos Beach on the Bundespressestrand on September 2 to see our products and also try our new range of irons.” Hagenbucher also spelled out what Siemens stands for in the CE world. by Gary Smith by Gary Smith “We are the technology and design brand,” he said, reporting that the German home-electronics giant is at IFA with 3,300 sq m of exhibition space and 350 products, more than 200 of which are new innovations. “I am very proud that over 70 of them are in the A++ category, because Siemens is always trying to build bridges to the future,” Hagenbucher added. “And the future is very much about living in a world of finite resources. Siemens is setting new standards in energy efficiency for both the industry and consumers, for whom such things are an increasingly important part of their buying decisions. Siemens fridges, for example, now consume 73% less energy than they did 10 years ago, while our Hall 3.1 Stand 101 A+++ models use one third of the power of conventional fridges.” Hall 1.1 Stand 101 Roland Hagenbucher CEO Siemens Electrogeräte GmbH Jura Mounts Super-Premium Coffee-maker Offensive Swiss coffee-machine specialist Jura is presenting two new product innovations at IFA 2011.
