Though the Monaco Yacht Show had returned in 2021, this year felt far more like the outstanding gatherings of old. And, of course, NetJets was there, hosting an Owners’ champagne reception on 28 September in the renowned Hôtel Metropole Monte-Carlo – an independent establishment redesigned in a contemporary fashion with a fascinating history. Among its many charms is the pool area mural by legendary designer Karl Lagerfeld but, as ever, it was the backdrop of the world’s finest superyachts moored in the port that truly drew the attention.
