This includes: crew resource planning, making sure we have the right number of available pilots; capacity planning, which is responsible for the advance planning and for making sure we have the right resources when and where we need them; trip planning, which is responsible for obtaining all the handling, slots and permits; and scheduling that puts all the plans together. Additionally, I oversee the strategic initiative planning for my area that focuses on improving systems and providing training to the operations planning teams.
