To become lovers, they must overcome their differences and find the things that unite them. This startles Pomona, she departs and Vertumnus decides to return in disguise. As the night progresses, the temperature rises, partners change and change again – looking for satisfaction and an escape from themselves. The premiere was given by Motionhouse Dance Theatre company in 1996, with this performance additionally incorporating poetry by Scottish writer A. L. Kennedy to accompany the choreography by Kevin Finnan and Louise Richards.
