or SSA and piano Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow is a three-movement work by Bob Chilcott, exploring the concepts of reflecting on the past, living in the present, and not worrying about the future. The words, by Georgia Way, were written with children in mind, and are inspired by a translated Sanskrit text used in Chilcott's 1998 piece Look to this day!: 'Look to this day! For today well lived, makes every yesterday a dream of happiness, every tomorrow a vision of hope'. Way's poems translate the idea of the Sanskrit text into a striking and contemporary message, bringing the energy and joy of youth to the fore.
