A Balanced Approach 4TH IN NATION FOR STUDENT DIVERSITY (TIED) U.S. NEWS & WORLD REPORT Eye on Diversity Hispanic-Serving Institution The university in 2014-2015 was designated a federal Hispanic-Serving Institution, and has steadily increased Hispanic enrollment ever since. To be so designated, Hispanics must account for at least 25% of an institution’s undergraduate population. In 2021, the figure was 33%.
