Morning Briefing by Rodolphe Lameyse, Vinexposium CEO © Philippe Labeguerie & Joanna Margan PROGRAMME DAY 3 WEDNESDAY, 14 FEBRUARY 2024 MASTERCLASSES LOIRE WINES FROM AUVERGNE TO NANTAIS Étienne Neethling - École Supérieure des Agricultures 9:30a.m. - 10:30a.m. Location: Room 1 - Masterclasses Language: French (Simultaneous translation in French and English available) Savouring the final day at Wine Paris & Vinexpo Paris Good morning and welcome to the third and final day of Wine Paris & Vinexpo Paris 2024. The show has been bustling with activity over the past two days, engaging attendees on both a personal and professional level. Conferences and tastings have attracted a continuous flow of enthusiastic participants, and networking has been at an alltime high. But it's not over yet! I encourage you all to make the most of this last day in Paris and take advantage of having so many great wines and spirits from around the world under one roof. Was there a wine you've been dying to try and haven't had time? A contact you've been looking forward to meeting in person? Don't let this opportunity pass you by! There's another full programme of conferences, masterclasses and tastings today as well, and as always I would recommend taking in as many as you can. The Wines of Centre-Loire are set to demonstrate how they are a match made in heaven with seafood this morning, and the Italian Spirits Lab is holding a tasting at noon. This afternoon you can learn more about dealcoholisation from the no/low wine collective then catch a masterclass on drinks and the producers of tomorrow. Networking has also been a key focus of the show, with industry professionals coming together to exchange ideas and forge connections. The sense of community and collaboration is palpable, underscoring the importance of working together to navigate the challenges and opportunities facing the wine and spirits sector. As we prepare to bid farewell to Paris, I want to extend a cordial invitation to join us in Hong Kong for Vinexpo Asia in May. It promises to be another valuable opportunity to connect with colleagues, explore new markets, and gain fresh perspectives on the industry. But for now, let's cherish these final moments together and raise a glass to the experience we've shared over the last few days. The Vinexposium Group is dedicated to supporting the wine and spirits industry all year round, and we look forward to working on new projects together in the near future. My very best wishes for your continued success, and I hope to see you all again soon CONFERENCE TASTE SHIFT: FRENCH CONSUMER INSIGHTS 2024 Various speakers 10:00a.m. - 11:00a.m. Location: Room 5 - Let's talk about wine! These measures involve all sources of emissions: Return transport of exhibitors / visitors / staff to the event Shipping the equipment and consumables used Facility equipment and layouts Energy (heat, cold and electricity) used at the event Catering / accommodation during hosting phases (assembly/exhibition/ dismantling) Promotional items Waste produced at the event The entire Wine Paris & Vinexpo Paris team would like to thank exhibitors and visitors for doing their part to help reduce emissions through the various initiatives throughout the show (empty bottle reuse, collection of leftover wines and spirits, collection of stand equipment etc.) The road to carbon neutrality is one we all walk together. Baron Philippe de Rothschild offers visitors a unique culinary experience with Escudo Rojo Baron Philippe de Rothschild invites Wine Paris & Vinexpo Paris visitors to partake in a unique culinary experience at its stand today. Chef Joris Noblet will be on hand to prepare gourmet treats especially created to accompany tastings of Baron Philippe de Rothschild's Escudo Rojo wines. Escudo Rojo is the fruit of the encounter between Chilean terroirs and Baron Philippe de Rothschild's wine making expertise. Since its creation in 1999, Escudo Rojo has been Baron Philippe de Rothschild's worthy heir in Chile, as its name perfectly illustrates: Escudo Rojo is the Spanish translation of the German "Rote Schild", meaning red shield. Combing four traditional grape varieties: Carménère, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, and Cabernet Franc, planted on parcels south of Santiago, Escudo Rojo is characterised by an intense aromatic complexity, balanced structure and a persistent finish. Tastings will be taking place today starting at 11:00 with 3 of their wines: Escudo Rojo Reserva Chardonnay, Origine and Gran Reserva Hall 6 / Stand F 099 Looking to advertise at Vinexpo Asia 2024?
