Falling into the next season
While summer is still finding its way to get through, the Viva Jewellery
team is preparing for fall/winter 2019. This issue is full of warm earthy
colours, ton-sur-ton with a touch of mustard yellow, emerald green,
midnight blue and grey.
Sometimes we find ourselves wondering if we have to keep on doing things
the same way as always. Shutting ourselves down because of people telling
us ‘we’ve always done it that way’. Most of the time we automatically
accept the situation and go for consistency and habits. A pattern full of
comfort, but a pitfall at the same time. Blinding yourself for opportunities,
not looking further and accepting the situation even though there might
be another, maybe even a better way. Today change is constant, it is not
the question if things will change for you too, but rather when they will.
Reinventing the look of Viva Jewellery has been an amazing process so
far. Driven by the need to keep challenging and improving, this year we
started with a new concept. Fully involving the team, creating room for
new visions, ideas and projects has been an energizing journey. By trial
and error we not only found the direction, but also the tools to move in
that direction.
We started off with brainstorm sessions for the Fall / Winter photoshoot.
This time we were looking for a lookbook bolder and better put together,
consistent but still divers and inspired by the minimalistic ton-sur-ton trend.
After creating moodboards we brought a new team together consisting of
two models, a makeup artist, a hairstylist and a photographer. I can tell
you, we’ve created something special.
