This study was carried out in Biotechnology laboratory of C.U. Faculty of Agriculture,<br />
Department of Horticulture during 2004-2006. The shoot tips of AK-1, AK-2 and GF-677 almond x<br />
peach hybrid genotypes taken from the orchards of C.U. Faculty of Agriculture, Department of<br />
Horticulture were used. As the experimental material the viability, shoot elongation and rooting rates<br />
of the shoot tips were investigated .<br />
In the experiment, MS macro and micro nutrients, vitamins and Fe-Na EDTA composition<br />
was used. During shoot elongation and multiplication stage 0, 0.5,1, 1.5 mg/l BAP and 0.1 mg/l GA3<br />
concentrations, during the rooting stage 0, 0.5,1, 1.5 mg/l IBA, 0.1 mg/l GA3 concentrations and MS<br />
medium with no hormones as the control were used.<br />
In this work, viability rate was found to be 91.25 % in AK-2, 88.75 % in AK-1 and<br />
85 % in GF-677; multiplication rate was 2.43 shoot/explant in AK-1 genotype, 0.88 shoot/explant in<br />
GF-677 and 0.5 shoot/explant in AK-2 genotype; rooting rate was 24.06 % in AK-1 genotype, 22.25<br />
% in GF-677 and 6.19 % in AK-2 genotype; root number per mikroshoot was 2.78 in genotype<br />
AK-1, 1.95 root/mikroshoot in GF-677 genotype and 0.94 root/mikroshoot in AK-2 genotype.<br />
