Mabel Makun is the wife of popular comedian AY
and also the CEO of Midas Interiors. Over the years,
she has built a great career for herself with her
beautiful and detailed designs. When asked about
the colors that inspire her especially this valentine
season, she said
‘Generally, white signifies purity, cleanliness, good
hygiene, simplicity and all but in the world of interior
designs. White is actually the most commonly used,
the reason been that it’s not necessarily a color, it is
actually a neutral. It is very useful when starting out
the decoration or design of a space, once I start with
white walls, l can gradually build up colors around it.
It is a very safe way to boost your confidence while
using other colors. White helps make smaller spaces
appear larger, it is an excellent backdrop for displaying
artworks as well. The color red for me is a stimulant.
I love to use red as a highlight for most of my
designs. It signifies courage and fearlessness.
