Unless<br />
Unless может употребляться в значении 'if... not' ["если.. .не"].<br />

от солнца... ]<br />
/ won't go to the party unless you go too. [... если вы также не пойдете.]<br />
Unless часто употребляется в выражениях угрозы, например: Unless you stop making that<br />
noise, I'll scream! и предупреждений, например: You'll be hungry later unless you eat now.<br />
Compare if and unless:<br />
If you eat now, you won't be hungry later.<br />
I'll go to the party if you go too.<br />
As/So long as, provided/providing (that)<br />
Unless you eat now. you 'II be hungry later.<br />
I won't go to the party unless you go too.<br />
As/so long as и provided/providing (that) употребляется в значении 'if but only if ["лишь в<br />
случае, если"].<br />
You can borrow my camera as long as you're careful with it. [... лишь в случае, если вы<br />

I'll go to the party provided you go too. [... лишь в случае, если вы также пойдете.]<br />
And и or (else)<br />
Для объединения двух идей иногда употребляется and вместо придаточного предложения<br />

Should<br />
Should может употребляться вместо if, когда существует меньшая уверенность<br />
возможности выполнения действия. Compare:<br />
If we have enough time, we'll visit Robert.<br />

мы навестим Роберта. (Вероятно, у нас<br />
будет достаточно времени.)]<br />
Should we have enough time, we'll visit<br />

В этом значении should может также употребляться после if, например: If we should have<br />

Suppose/supposing<br />
Suppose или supposing может также употребляться вместо if, особенно в предложениях с<br />
нереальным условием.<br />
Suppose/Supposing you won a lot of money, what would you do?<br />
