Boeing 737 breaks single-year record for orders and deliveries<br />
Boeing reached a record for year-to-date 737 deliveries with the delivery of the 377th<br />
Next-Generation 737 on December 4th. The delivery of the airplane, a 737-900ER<br />
(Extended Range) with Boeing Sky Interior for United Airlines, topped the previous<br />
record of 376 deliveries set in 20<strong>10</strong>. In October, the 737 also broke its own record for<br />
net orders in a single year when it topped the 2007 record of 846 orders. Net year-todate<br />
orders for the Next-Generation 737 and 737 MAX total 1,031 airplanes. This also<br />
is the first time in the single-aisle jetliner’s history that it has logged more than 1,000<br />
orders in a single year.<br />

Iraqi Airways takes delivery of first<br />
Airbus A330<br />
Iraqi Airways, the national carrier of Iraq,<br />
took delivery of its first A330-200 becoming<br />
a new operator for the type. This will be the<br />
first Airbus widebody aircraft to be operated<br />
by Iraqi Airways. The carrier already operates<br />
two A321 aircraft. Accommodating a twoclass<br />
configuration of 24 business and 264<br />
economy seats, the aircraft is powered by<br />
GE CF6-80 engines and will be deployed on<br />
European routes including Germany, Austria<br />
and the UK.<br />
Eighth A380 financed in the capital<br />
markets brings Doric’s Asset Portfolio<br />
to $7bn<br />
The delivery of Doric’s 18th Airbus A380<br />
under management on November 30th concluded<br />
the aircraft acquisitions for the Doric<br />
Alpha EETC transaction closed in June this<br />
year. Doric’s aviation portfolio now comprises<br />
35 aircraft valued at about $7bn. Doric<br />
Nimrod Air Finance Alpha Limited (Doric<br />
Alpha) took delivery of its fourth and final<br />
Airbus A380 bearing the manufacturer’s serial<br />
number (MSN) 1<strong>10</strong> on November 30th,<br />
<strong>20<strong>12</strong></strong> in Hamburg. The first two A380s were<br />
delivered in October and the third superjumbo<br />
earlier in November <strong>20<strong>12</strong></strong>. All four<br />
aircraft are leased to Emirates for a period<br />
of <strong>12</strong> years.<br />
XL Airways France takes delivery of<br />
one new A330-300 from GECAS<br />
GE Capital Aviation Services Limited (GECAS)<br />
delivered a new leased Airbus A330-300<br />
aircraft to XL Airways France. The aircraft<br />
comes from GECAS’ existing order book<br />
with Airbus and expands the airline’s fleet.<br />
This is the first A330-300 joining the XL Airways<br />
France fleet.<br />
Qatar Airways endorses larger A350<br />
XWB models<br />
Qatar Airways and Airbus signed an amendment<br />
to convert its existing firm order for<br />
twenty (20) A350-800s, forty (40) A350-<br />
900s and twenty (20) A350-<strong>10</strong>00s to forty<br />
three (43) A350-900s and thirty seven (37)<br />
A350-<strong>10</strong>00s. Qatar Airways’ total order for<br />
A350 XWB aircraft remains at eighty (80)<br />
aircraft.<br />

Transaero chooses Fokker Services on<br />
LED cabin wash lighting system<br />
Fokker Services announced the introduction<br />
and integration of EMTEQ’s eFIT LED<br />
cabin wash lighting as an economical retrofit<br />
solution for their Russian customer<br />
Transaero Airlines on the Boeing 737-800<br />
aircraft. The system not only replaces the<br />
traditional white fluorescent tubes by LED<br />
light sticks but also introduces blue mood<br />
lighting for the ceiling lights. The first installation<br />
has been completed successfully and<br />
MSN 33982 is already operating with the<br />
renewed LED lighting system.<br />
Turkish Technic signs agreement with<br />
Azerbaijan Airlines for <strong>10</strong> sets A320<br />
Family landing gear overhaul services<br />
Turkish Technic signed a five-year landing<br />
gear maintenance services agreement with<br />
Azerbaijan Airlines, for <strong>10</strong> sets of A320<br />
Family aircraft. Landing gear removal & installation<br />
and landing gear overhaul activities<br />
will be carried out at Turkish Technic’s<br />
Istanbul facilities. Turkish Technic also supports<br />
Azerbaijan Airlines with its spare units<br />
during shop visits.<br />
Hawthorne named authorized Honeywell<br />
avionics dealer for private jets<br />
Hawthorne Global Aviation Services was selected<br />
as an authorized Honeywell Avionics<br />
dealer, providing installation, sales and service<br />
for a full range of Honeywell Avionics<br />
products at its FBO and Part 145 repair station<br />
located at Long Island MacArthur Airport<br />
in Islip, NY. As an authorized Honeywell<br />
Avionics dealer, Hawthorne offers a range of<br />
avionics installation and maintenance services<br />
for private jets. Its first installation, under<br />
the deal, was a Honeywell AIS-2000 satellite<br />
TV system on a GV private jet. Hawthorne<br />
also provides installation for the HD 7<strong>10</strong> in-<br />
Evergreen Apple Nigeria expands maintenance offering following AMO<br />
certification<br />
Lagos-based Evergreen Apple Nigeria (EAN), the first fully integrated FBO, maintenance<br />
and hangar facility for business jets to open at Murtala Mohammed Airport, announced<br />
ahead of MEBA, that it has achieved Approved Maintenance Organisation (AMO) certification<br />
from the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority. The EAN workshops are already<br />
fully equipped for maintenance of SAFT batteries and aircraft wheels across a range of<br />
aircraft including Dornier<br />
