The sporty BMW M Performance Parts wheels shape the character
of the vehicle. The reduction of the unsprung mass also improves
the dynamic response behaviour. Thanks to modern manufacturing
processes, an M Performance Parts wheel is up to 2 kg lighter than a
conventionally produced wheel.
In the flow-forming process, a higher density is achieved by rolling
the aluminium in the rim bed. This treatment makes the rim bed
more stable, thinner and lighter at the same time.
In forging technology, special alloys are compressed at pressures of
up to 7000 tons. This allows filigree shapes to be created that are not
possible with conventional processes. Forged wheels are therefore
standard in high-end motorsport.
For all M Performance Parts wheels, the spokes have a reverse twist.
This removes excess material and saves weight. Careful deburring
gives the wheels their flawless surface. During further processing,
gloss-lathing, gloss-milling and special coatings enhance the
appearance. The M Performance Parts branding – as print or 3D
milling – completes the sporty look.
Perfect contact with the road is ensured by Original BMW complete
wheels with star-marked tyres and TPMS sensors and, depending
on the model, also with run-flat tyres. They were developed in
cooperation with BMW and adapted to the driving characteristics of
the corresponding BMW models.

From forging the blank to flow-forming the rim bed, milling, high-gloss
polishing and multicoat painting with a matt finish, approx. 22 working hours
are required for the 763 M forged wheel.
