Disse ord stamm<strong>er</strong> fra en af de p<strong>er</strong>son<strong>er</strong>,<br />
<strong>d<strong>er</strong></strong> <strong>har</strong> b<strong>et</strong>yd<strong>et</strong> all<strong>er</strong>mest <strong>for</strong> mo<strong>d<strong>er</strong></strong>ne<br />
urproduktion, Jack <strong>Heu<strong>er</strong></strong>. Hans hemmelige<br />
bemærkning blev delt med Bolig<br />
Eksklusivs udsendte <strong>for</strong>rige somm<strong>er</strong>, da<br />
<strong>TAG</strong> <strong>Heu<strong>er</strong></strong> bød på testkørsel af div<strong>er</strong>se<br />
GT-bil<strong>er</strong> fra Le Mans på den sydfranske<br />
Paul Ricard bane i La Castell<strong>et</strong>.<br />
N<strong>et</strong>op bil<strong>er</strong> <strong>har</strong> fyldt meg<strong>et</strong> i 75-årige<br />
Jack <strong>Heu<strong>er</strong></strong>s liv. Han <strong>er</strong> manden bag d<strong>et</strong><br />
legendariske sports-ur <strong>Heu<strong>er</strong></strong> Carr<strong>er</strong>a,<br />
som <strong>er</strong> opkaldt eft<strong>er</strong> d<strong>et</strong> benhårde løb<br />
fra 1960<strong>er</strong>ne, <strong>d<strong>er</strong></strong> gik gennem USA til<br />

som en klassik<strong>er</strong> og <strong>et</strong> af mo<strong>d<strong>er</strong></strong>ne tids<br />
mest tidløse ur-design. ’My brainchild’,<br />
som Jack selv omtal<strong>er</strong> d<strong>et</strong> oprindelige<br />
Carr<strong>er</strong>a fra 1964.<br />
Jack <strong>Heu<strong>er</strong></strong> fung<strong>er</strong><strong>er</strong> i dag som Honorary<br />
President <strong>for</strong> d<strong>et</strong> firma, hans familie<br />
grundlagde <strong>for</strong> 148 år siden – og som<br />
han <strong>for</strong>lod, da franske <strong>TAG</strong> (Techniques<br />
d’Avant Garde) ov<strong>er</strong>tog firma<strong>et</strong> i 1985. På<br />
grund af uov<strong>er</strong>ensstemmels<strong>er</strong> valgte han<br />
at <strong>for</strong>lade familiefirma<strong>et</strong> og trække sig<br />
<strong>TAG</strong> <strong>Heu<strong>er</strong></strong> chefen Jean-Christophe Babin, Lewis<br />

Formel 1- kør<strong>er</strong>en Lewis Hamilton<br />

Jean-Christophe Babin, sin gule hjelm,<br />

design awards. Den seneste – fra Popular Science<br />

ved hjælp af en sup<strong>er</strong>komplic<strong>er</strong><strong>et</strong> quartzdrev<strong>et</strong><br />
konstruktion giv<strong>er</strong> brug<strong>er</strong>en mulighed <strong>for</strong> at hoppe<br />
fra funktion til funktion via ur<strong>et</strong>s primære centrale<br />
vis<strong>er</strong>e. D<strong>et</strong>te gøres uden at påvirke de andre funktion<strong>er</strong>.<br />
D<strong>et</strong> vil sige, at du kan gå direkte fra normal tidvisning<br />
til stopursfunktion og <strong>d<strong>er</strong></strong>fra til regattanedtælling<br />

På vej hjem fra eventen delte jeg bus med<br />
Jack <strong>Heu<strong>er</strong></strong>, og fik <strong>d<strong>er</strong></strong>ved mulighed <strong>for</strong><br />
<strong>et</strong> særdeles afslapp<strong>et</strong> int<strong>er</strong>view med den<br />
lille smilende mand. Han <strong>for</strong>talte, at<br />
hans yndlingsur på muse<strong>et</strong> <strong>er</strong> Chronosplit.<br />
D<strong>et</strong>te kan virke ov<strong>er</strong>raskende, id<strong>et</strong><br />
Chronosplit <strong>er</strong> digitalt. Men d<strong>et</strong>te bevis<strong>er</strong><br />
blot Jacks enorme int<strong>er</strong>esse <strong>for</strong> bil<strong>er</strong>, id<strong>et</strong><br />
d<strong>et</strong>te ur var den ultimative tidsmål<strong>er</strong>,<br />
da d<strong>et</strong> blev lanc<strong>er</strong><strong>et</strong> i 1975. Chronosplit<br />
kunne måle 1/10 sekun<strong>d<strong>er</strong></strong>, hvilk<strong>et</strong> var<br />
impon<strong>er</strong>ende <strong>for</strong> <strong>et</strong> schweizisk ur. D<strong>et</strong>te<br />
gjorde <strong>et</strong> så stort indtryk på Enzo F<strong>er</strong>rari,<br />
at han p<strong>er</strong>sonligt bestilte 15 styk af<br />
disse. Skuespill<strong>er</strong>en Paul Newman – som<br />
ell<strong>er</strong>s <strong>er</strong> bedst kendt <strong>for</strong> sin kærlighed <strong>for</strong><br />
Rolex Cosmograph og Daytona – var også<br />
en af de kendte køb<strong>er</strong>e.<br />
D<strong>er</strong>næst <strong>er</strong> Jacks favorit d<strong>et</strong> Monacour,<br />
som Steve McQueen bar un<strong>d<strong>er</strong></strong> klassik<strong>er</strong>en<br />
Le Mans fra 1972. Hele tre <strong>Heu<strong>er</strong></strong><br />
Monaco ’deltog’ i filmen, to af dem med<br />
blå skive og <strong>et</strong> med sølvgrå. Antall<strong>et</strong> skyldes,<br />
at <strong>d<strong>er</strong></strong> var risiko <strong>for</strong>, at <strong>et</strong> kunne blive<br />
beskadig<strong>et</strong> un<strong>d<strong>er</strong></strong> indspilningen. D<strong>et</strong><br />
udstillede Monaco med blå skive <strong>er</strong> købt<br />
fra filmens prop mast<strong>er</strong>, <strong>d<strong>er</strong></strong> <strong>har</strong> vedlagt<br />
<strong>et</strong> brev, <strong>d<strong>er</strong></strong> bekræft<strong>er</strong>, at McQueen bar<br />
d<strong>et</strong>te ur un<strong>d<strong>er</strong></strong> filmen. Fantastisk ur med<br />
ditto proveniens.<br />
<strong>Heu<strong>er</strong></strong> Monaco var v<strong>er</strong>dens første<br />
firkantede kronograf med automatisk<br />
værk, og d<strong>et</strong> blev introduc<strong>er</strong><strong>et</strong> i 1969.<br />

Kort eft<strong>er</strong> lanc<strong>er</strong>ingen af d<strong>et</strong>te revolution<strong>er</strong>ende<br />
ur, kom Zenith med <strong>d<strong>er</strong></strong>es roste<br />
El Prim<strong>er</strong>o værk, men måtte se sig slå<strong>et</strong><br />
af <strong>Heu<strong>er</strong></strong> med kun to måne<strong>d<strong>er</strong></strong>. Zenith<br />
kan dog være stolte af, at <strong>d<strong>er</strong></strong>es El Prim<strong>er</strong>o<br />
stadig bruges i dag og b<strong>et</strong>ragtes som <strong>et</strong><br />
af de absolut bedste kronografværk<strong>er</strong> på<br />
marked<strong>et</strong>.<br />
Jeg spurgte Jack <strong>Heu<strong>er</strong></strong>, om han<br />
nogensinde havde arbejd<strong>et</strong> sammen med<br />
G<strong>er</strong>d-Rüdig<strong>er</strong> Lang (tyske Chronoswiss’<br />
CEO), da han arbejdede <strong>for</strong> <strong>Heu<strong>er</strong></strong>. Jack<br />
<strong>for</strong>talte, at han havde arbejd<strong>et</strong> meg<strong>et</strong><br />
tæt sammen med Lang, og ov<strong>er</strong>raskede<br />

spurgte til størrelsen af Langs private<br />
samling af ure med stopursfunktion,<br />
svarede Jack Drillende:<br />

Less is more<br />
Audemars Pigu<strong>et</strong> <strong>er</strong> <strong>et</strong> af de få urfirma<strong>er</strong>, <strong>d<strong>er</strong></strong> endnu ikke <strong>er</strong> opkøbt af<br />
invest<strong>er</strong>ingsgrupp<strong>er</strong> som Richemont, Sowind ell<strong>er</strong> LVMH. Samtidig<br />
<strong>er</strong> d<strong>et</strong> <strong>et</strong> af de firma<strong>er</strong>, <strong>d<strong>er</strong></strong> lav<strong>er</strong> nogle af de mest impon<strong>er</strong>ende luksus-ure.<br />

mono brand butik, som ligg<strong>er</strong> i foy<strong>er</strong>en af<br />
Park Hotel i den eksklusive schweiziske<br />
skiby Gstaad.<br />
Når man træ<strong>d<strong>er</strong></strong> inden<strong>for</strong> i den lille<br />
butik, mødes man af diamantbelagte<br />
tourbillon<strong>er</strong>, rosaguld Offshores og<br />
sjældne Cabin<strong>et</strong> modell<strong>er</strong>. Adskillige<br />
ting, som langt større AP-butikk<strong>er</strong> sjældent<br />
ville have på lag<strong>er</strong>, og da sl<strong>et</strong> ikke<br />
den danske <strong>for</strong>handl<strong>er</strong>, Povl Klarlund.<br />
Nabobutikken, <strong>d<strong>er</strong></strong> <strong>for</strong>handl<strong>er</strong> Louis<br />
Vuitton, <strong>er</strong> den bedst sælgende i hele<br />
v<strong>er</strong>den i <strong>for</strong>hold til størrelse. Samme<br />
resultat bør Audemars sagtens kunne<br />
præst<strong>er</strong>e, id<strong>et</strong> butikken un<strong>d<strong>er</strong></strong> mit ophold<br />
indeholdt ure <strong>for</strong> adskillige million<strong>er</strong><br />
– schweiz<strong>er</strong>frank, vel at mærke.<br />
Id<strong>et</strong> butikkens størrelse <strong>er</strong> begræns<strong>et</strong>,<br />
og selve åbningsc<strong>er</strong>emonien <strong>d<strong>er</strong></strong><strong>for</strong><br />
var hurtigt ov<strong>er</strong>stå<strong>et</strong>, så bød Audemars<br />
Pigu<strong>et</strong> også på lanc<strong>er</strong>ingen af endnu<br />
Audemars Pigu<strong>et</strong> Royal Oak Offshore Ladycat <strong>har</strong> en<br />
kassediam<strong>et</strong><strong>er</strong> på 37 millim<strong>et</strong><strong>er</strong>, og <strong>har</strong> automatisk<br />
værk med stopursfunktion. Ur<strong>et</strong> <strong>er</strong> produc<strong>er</strong><strong>et</strong> i<br />
150 styk. Ur<strong>et</strong> kost<strong>er</strong> cirka 135.000 kron<strong>er</strong>.<br />

vores to dages ophold i Gstaad. Denne<br />
gang var <strong>d<strong>er</strong></strong> tale om en v<strong>er</strong>sion i farven<br />
fuchsia pink. Den voldsomme farve<br />
skyldes, at ur<strong>et</strong> <strong>er</strong> inspir<strong>er</strong><strong>et</strong> af katamaranbåden<br />
Ladycats’ meg<strong>et</strong> markante<br />
sejlfarve. Bådens crew <strong>er</strong> 100 procent<br />
kvin<strong>d<strong>er</strong></strong> og den første af slagsen, <strong>d<strong>er</strong></strong> sejl<strong>er</strong><br />
mod mandlige crews.<br />
Båden <strong>er</strong> ej<strong>et</strong> af Dona B<strong>er</strong>tarelli Späth,<br />
<strong>d<strong>er</strong></strong> sjovt nok også ej<strong>er</strong> Park Hotel, som vi<br />
var indlog<strong>er</strong><strong>et</strong> på, og som også hus<strong>er</strong> den<br />
lille Audemarsbutik. Un<strong>d<strong>er</strong></strong> en middag<br />
i Neuchatel i 2007 med Georges-Henri<br />
Meylan, Audemars Pigu<strong>et</strong>s CEO, spurgte<br />
hun, om Audemars måske kunne<br />
være int<strong>er</strong>ess<strong>er</strong><strong>et</strong> i at sponsor<strong>er</strong>e båden,<br />
siden de all<strong>er</strong>ede havde stor succes med<br />
at sponsor<strong>er</strong>e Am<strong>er</strong>ica’s Cup vin<strong>d<strong>er</strong></strong>båden,<br />
Alinghi. Meylan viste dog ikke den<br />
store int<strong>er</strong>esse, før Dona <strong>for</strong>eslog, at hun<br />
købte båden.<br />
Som sagt, så gjort. Dona kunne stolt<br />
introduc<strong>er</strong>e sit kvindelige crew og samtidig<br />
både selv modtage og ov<strong>er</strong>række den<br />
limit<strong>er</strong>ede Offshore Ladycat til hv<strong>er</strong>t<br />
af medlemm<strong>er</strong>ne, <strong>d<strong>er</strong></strong> sikk<strong>er</strong>t får brug<br />
<strong>for</strong> solbrill<strong>er</strong> un<strong>d<strong>er</strong></strong> sejladsen, id<strong>et</strong> ur<strong>et</strong>s<br />
krans <strong>er</strong> rigt besat med 32 højkarats<br />
diamant<strong>er</strong>.<br />
Udov<strong>er</strong> at bære disse flotte ure, kan<br />
Ladycats crew også glæde sig ov<strong>er</strong>, at<br />
bådens ej<strong>er</strong> <strong>er</strong> en aktiv velgør<strong>er</strong>. Båden<br />
sejl<strong>er</strong> ikke kun i Audemars Pigu<strong>et</strong>s<br />
navn, men støtt<strong>er</strong> også kvin<strong>d<strong>er</strong></strong> med<br />
hj<strong>er</strong>tefejl – en sygdom, <strong>d<strong>er</strong></strong> i følge Dona<br />
B<strong>er</strong>tarelli <strong>er</strong> en af de hyppigste dødsårsag<strong>er</strong><br />
blandt kvin<strong>d<strong>er</strong></strong>.<br />
”Vi <strong>er</strong> både stolte af at spons<strong>er</strong>e Ladycat<br />
og at sprede m<strong>er</strong>e opmærksomhed<br />
