Hierbas perenn<strong>es</strong>, tuberosas, con tuberculos fusiform<strong>es</strong>. Tallos con hojas de <strong>es</strong>cuamiform<strong>es</strong> a bien d<strong>es</strong>arrolladas,<br />
siempre con roseta basal de hojas. Inflor<strong>es</strong>cencia en <strong>es</strong>piga. Flor<strong>es</strong> con tépalos subigual<strong>es</strong>, los dos externos lateral<strong>es</strong><br />
libr<strong>es</strong> y los dos internos connivent<strong>es</strong> y exertos. Ovario curvado. Sin <strong>es</strong>polón. Fruto en cápsula.<br />
