mucosas se da <strong>en</strong> un 90% de los casos, y la afectación<br />
visceral (erosiones de mucosas gastrointestinal<br />
y respiratoria, glomerulonefritis y hepatitis)<br />
no es tan frecu<strong>en</strong>te. El diagnóstico es clínico,<br />
y <strong>en</strong> casos de dudas diagnósticas puede<br />
ser necesaria la anatomía patológica <strong>en</strong> la que<br />
se observa necrosis de todo el espesor de la<br />
epidermis. El tratami<strong>en</strong>to es de soporte e incluye<br />
aporte de líquidos, soporte nutricional, control<br />
del dolor y curas locales. El uso de corticoides<br />
es controvertido, y no está demostrada<br />
la eficacia de la gammaglobulina <strong>en</strong>dov<strong>en</strong>osa.<br />
Se debe retirar el fármaco causal si se sospecha<br />
y no se recomi<strong>en</strong>da la profilaxis antibiótica.<br />
La mortalidad del SSJ es inferior a un 5% y está<br />
<strong>en</strong> relación con la ext<strong>en</strong>sión de la afectación<br />
cutánea y el compromiso visceral, si<strong>en</strong>do la sepsis<br />
la principal causa de muerte.<br />
