La vegetación representativa <strong>de</strong>l municipio es el bosque <strong>de</strong> pino y bosque <strong>de</strong> pino-encino.<br />
La población aprovecha el pino, encino, oyamel, ma<strong>de</strong>ra <strong>de</strong> aserrío, postería, leña y otras<br />
especies <strong>de</strong> ma<strong>de</strong>ra.<br />
Fauna<br />
Los animales silvestres que aun sobreviven en nuestro municipio son: venado, conejo,<br />
mapache, ardilla, comadreja, zorra, coyote, armadillo, jabalí, zorrillo, tigrillo, puerco espín,<br />
leoncillo, tejón, tuza.<br />
En cuanto a las aves se encuentran: chachalacas, gallina <strong>de</strong> monte, gorrión, jilguero,<br />
calandria, calandria amarilla, calandria roja, chupa rosa, zanate y el gavilán. Los reptiles<br />
son: víbora <strong>de</strong> cascabel, víbora vena<strong>de</strong>ra, alacrán, iguana, camaleón, coralillo, lagartijas.<br />
