Composition
N Supplementary Reagent/Precipitation is a phosphate buffer solution (0.05 mol/L), with
sodium chloride (8.5 g/L) and Thesit ® (50 g/L).
Preservative: sodium azide < 1 g/L
Warnings and Precautions
1. For in vitro diagnostic use only.
2. Reagents containing sodium azide must be handled with due caution:
Do not ingest or allow to contact skin or mucous membranes! When disposing of in
waster water, flush with large amounts of water. Sodium azide can form explosive
azides if it comes into contact with heavy metals such as copper or lead.
Preparation of the Reagent
N Supplementary Reagent/Precipitation is ready to use. Reagents should be brought to
room temperature (+15 to +25 °C) before testing in the BN* 100 System. Reagents
stored at +2 to +8 °C may also be used immediately for testing in the BN* II and BN
ProSpec ® System.
Storage and Stability
Storage at +2 to +25 °C:
The expiry date is indicated on the label;
Stability after opening:
4 weeks, if re-closed tightly immediately following use and stored at +2 to +8 °C.
Stability in the BN* Systems:
A minimum of five days at eight hours per day or a comparable period of time.
Note: "On-board" stability depends on the BN* System used as well as the laboratory
conditions. More detailed information for the respective combination of reagent and supplementary
reagent may be found in the BN* Systems Instruction Manual.
N Supplementary Reagent/Precipitation should be discarded if there is turbidity or
sediment present.

Test procedure
N Supplementary Reagent/Precipitation may be used independently of reagent and lot
number. A change in the lot of Supplementary Reagent does not require generation of a
new reference curve for the corresponding tests using the BN* Systems. More detailed
information on the principle of the test procedure, additional materials required, the calculation
of test results, internal quality control and the specific performance characteristics
of the tests may be found in the package inserts for the reagents.

Zusammensetzung
N Zusatzreagenz/Präzipitation ist eine Phosphat-Pufferlösung (0,05 mol/l), mit Natriumchlorid
(8,5 g/l) und Thesit ® (50 g/l).
Konservierungsmittel: Natriumazid < 1 g/l
Warnungen und Vorsichtsmaßnahmen
1. Nur zur in vitro diagnostischen Anwendung
2. Beim Umgang mit Natriumazid-haltigen In vitro Diagnostika ist zu beachten:
Verschlucken und Kontakt mit Haut oder Schleimhäuten vermeiden! Bei Entsorgung
ins Abwasser mit viel Wasser nachspülen. Natriumazid kann mit Schwermetallen wie
Kupfer oder Blei explosive Azide bilden.
Vorbereitung des Reagenzes
N Zusatzreagenz/Präzipitation ist gebrauchsfertig. Reagenzien sollen vor der Messung
am BN* 100 System Raumtemperatur (+15 bis +25 °C) erreicht haben. Am BN* II und BN
ProSpec ® System können auch bei +2 bis +8 °C gelagerte Reagenzien direkt zur Bestimmung
eingesetzt werden.
Haltbarkeit und Lagerungsbedingungen
Lagerung bei +2 bis +25 °C:
das Verfallsdatum ist auf dem Etikett angegeben;
Stabilität nach Öffnen:
4 Wochen, sofern unmittelbar nach Gebrauch wieder dicht verschlossen bei +2 bis
+8 °C gelagert.
Stabilität auf den BN* Systemen:
minimal 5 Tage mit jeweils 8 Stunden, oder ein vergleichbarer Zeitraum.
Hinweis: Die "on-board" Stabilität hängt von dem verwendeten BN* System sowie
den Laborbedingungen ab. Weiterführende Angaben für die jeweilige Kombination
von Reagenz und Zusatzreagenz sind in den Bedienungsanleitungen der BN* Systeme
enthalten.
N Zusatzreagenz/Präzipitation soll verworfen werden, wenn sich eine Trübung oder ein
Sediment zeigt.

Testdurchführung
N Zusatzreagenz/Präzipitation kann Reagenz- und Chargen-übergreifend eingesetzt
werden. Ein Chargenwechsel des Zusatzreagenzes erfordert keine Neuerstellung der
Referenzkurve der entsprechenden Teste an den BN* Systemen. Nähere Angaben zum
Prinzip des Messverfahrens, zu zusätzlich benötigten Materialien, zur Berechnung der
Analysenergebnisse, zur internen Qualitätskontrolle und zu den Leistungsmerkmalen
der Teste sind den Packungsbeilagen der Reagenzien zu entnehmen.

Composition
Le N Réactif complémentaire/Précipitation est une solution tampon phosphate (0,05
mol/l), additionnée de chlorure de sodium (8,5 g/l) et de Thesit ® (50 g/l).
Conservateur : azide de sodium < 1 g/l
Mises en garde et précautions d’emploi
1. Réservé à un usage de diagnostic in vitro.
2. Les réactifs in vitro contenant de l’azide de sodium doivent être manipulés avec précaution
:
ne pas avaler et éviter tout contact avec la peau et les muqueuses. En cas
d’évacuation dans l’évier, rincer avec un grand volume d’eau. L’azide de sodium peut
devenir explosif au contact de métaux lourds comme le cuivre ou le plomb.
Préparation du réactif
Le N Réactif complémentaire/Précipitation est prêt à l’emploi. Avant utilisation sur le
système BN* 100, porter le réactif à la température ambiante (+15/+25 °C). Sur les
systèmes BN* II et BN ProSpec ® , il peut être directement utilisé à +2/+8 °C.
Stabilités et conditions de conservation
Conservation à +2/+8 °C :
la date de péremption est indiquée sur l’étiquette.
Stabilité après ouverture :
4 semaines, à condition de bien refermer le flacon immédiatement après emploi et de le
replacer à +2/+8 °C.
Stabilité sur les systèmes BN* :
au moins 5 journées de 8 heures, ou temps équivalent.
Remarque : la stabilité « on board » dépend du système BN* utilisé ainsi que des

Le Réactif complémentaire/Précipitation doit être éliminé s’il devient trouble ou présente
une sédimentation.

Réalisation du test
Le N Réactif complémentaire/Précipitation peut être utilisé quels que soient le réactif et
le lot. Un changement de lot de réactif ne nécessite pas de refaire une nouvelle courbe
d’étalonnage pour le test à effectuer sur le système BN* utilisé. Pour plus de détails sur

Avvertenze e precauzioni
1. Solo per uso diagnostico in vitro.
2. Quando si usano diagnostici in vitro contenenti sodio azide, osservare le seguenti
precauzioni:
non ingerire ed evitare contatti con la cute e le mucose! Se il reagente viene eliminato
nello scarico dell’acqua, sciacquare con molta acqua. La sodio azide, a contatto con
metalli pesanti come rame o piombo, può formare azidi esplosive.
Preparazione del reagente
L’N Reagente supplementare P è pronto per l’uso. Portare i reagenti a temperatura
ambiente (+15/+25 °C) prima del loro utilizzo sui sistemi BN*100. I reagenti conservati a
+2/+8 °C possono essere utilizzati direttamente sul sistema BN*II e BN ProSpec“
Conservazione e stabilità
Conservazione a +2/+8 °C:
la data di scadenza è indicata sull’etichetta.
Stabilità dopo apertura:
4 settimane, se conservato ben chiuso a +2/+8 °C, subito dopo l’uso.
Stabilità sui sistemi BN*:
almeno 5 giorni per 8 ore al giorno o periodo di tempo equivalente.
Nota: la stabilità "on-board" dipende dal sistema BN* utilizzato e dalle condizioni del

Esecuzione del test
L’N Reagente supplementare/Precipitante può essere usato con qualsiasi reagente e
