<strong>Meriden</strong> Public Schools<br />
<strong>Preschool</strong> <strong>and</strong> <strong>Kindergarten</strong> <strong>Registration</strong><br />
<strong>Registration</strong> for the 2010-2011 <strong>Preschool</strong> <strong>and</strong> <strong>Kindergarten</strong> Programs <strong>of</strong> the <strong>Meriden</strong> Public Schools will take place<br />
in the elementary schools during the week <strong>of</strong> February 8-11, 2010. Resident children who will be four (4) years <strong>of</strong><br />
age or older on or before January 1, 2011, are eligible for the A.P.P.L.E <strong>Preschool</strong> Program. Please register your<br />
child at your district school. Children accepted into this program will be assigned to John Barry, Benjamin<br />
Franklin, Hanover or Roger Sherman Elementary School. Resident children who will be five (5) years <strong>of</strong> age or<br />
older on or before January 1, 2011 are eligible for kindergarten. Students who are currently within the APPLE<br />
<strong>Preschool</strong> Program must register again for <strong>Kindergarten</strong>.<br />
Hours for preschool <strong>and</strong> kindergarten registration will be from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. <strong>and</strong> from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. The<br />
child’s birth certificate, pro<strong>of</strong> <strong>of</strong> residence (rental/mortgage agreement, utility bill) <strong>and</strong> immunization record must be<br />
presented at the time <strong>of</strong> registration. At the preschool registration, a follow-up DIAL screening appointment will be<br />
made.<br />

Las matrículas para los programas preescolar y jardín de infantes de las escuelas públicas de <strong>Meriden</strong> para el año<br />
2010-2011 tomarán lugar en las escuelas primarias durante las semanas de Febrero 8-11 del 2009. Los niños<br />
residentes que cumplan cuatro (4) años de edad para o antes del primero de enero del 2011, son elegibles para el<br />
programa preescolar. Por favor de matricular a su hijo(a) en la escuela de su distrito. Los niños aceptados a<br />
nuestro programa serán asignados a las escuelas de John Barry, Benjamin Franklin, Hanover y Roger<br />
Sherman. Los niños residentes que cumplan cinco (5) años de edad para o antes del primero de enero del 2011,<br />
son elegibles para jardín de infantes. Si su hijo(a) esta asistiendo el programa preescolar de APPLE es todavía<br />
necesario que sean matriculados para Jardín de Infantes.<br />
Las horas para las matrículas serán de 9:30 a 11:30 a.m. y de 1:00 a 2:30 p.m. El certificado de nacimiento,<br />
verificación de residencia (contrato de inquilino/hipoteca, factura de servicio publico) y el certificado de<br />
vacunas del niño/a serán solicitados. Al momento de la matrícula preescolar se le hará una cita para una prueba<br />
de elegibilidad.<br />
