<strong>Dear</strong> <strong>Parents</strong> <strong>and</strong> <strong>Guardians</strong>:<br />
As we end the first half of the school year we are very thankful for the support you have<br />
given our teachers, staff <strong>and</strong> administration. The second marking period ends on <strong>January</strong> 30 th <strong>and</strong><br />
report cards will be distributed on February 7 th during Parent Teacher Conferences between<br />
1:30pm <strong>and</strong> 6:30pm. Also there has been a change to the Teacher PDI days in February. Please<br />
note the following schedule:<br />
February 14 – All 9 th , 10 th , 11 th , <strong>and</strong> 12 th grade students have a full day of school.<br />
No School for all Kindergarten thru 8 th grade students.<br />
February 15 – All Kindergarten thru 8 th grade students have a full day of school.<br />
No School for all 9 th , 10 th , 11 th , <strong>and</strong> 12 th grade students.<br />
Our students are working hard to prepare for the State required testing in the spring.<br />
Junior students will be taking the NJ HSPA tests the first week in March <strong>and</strong> completing a course<br />
for the SAT test for college application which they will take in May. The elementary students will<br />
begin the NJASK testing at the end of April <strong>and</strong> continues into May. Our seniors are busy sending<br />
out their college applications <strong>and</strong> preparing for graduation. We encourage you to continue to<br />
support your child by making sure they are on time, prepared <strong>and</strong> ready for school each day.<br />

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact your child’s teacher. Teachers will be<br />
available to meet with you during Parent Teacher Conferences on February 7th. Thank you again<br />

Estimados padres y encargados:<br />
Al terminar la primera mitad del año escolar, estamos muy agradecidos por el apoyo que usted ha<br />
dado a nuestros maestros, el personal y la administración. El segundo período de calificaciones<br />
termina el 30 de enero y las notas de calificaciones serán distribuidas el 7 de febrero, durante la<br />
conferencia de padres y maestros de 1:30 pm a 6:30 pm. También hemos tenido un cambio para<br />
los días de maestros (PDI) en febrero. Por favor, tenga en cuenta el siguiente calendario:<br />
14 de febrero –<br />
Todos los estudiantes de los grados 9no, 10mo, 11mo, 12mo, tendrán un día completo de clases.<br />
No hay clases para todos los estudiantes de Kindergarten a 8vo grado.<br />
15 de febrero –<br />
Todos los estudiantes de los grados Kinder a octavo grado tendrán un día completo de clases.<br />
No hay clases para todos los estudiantes de los grados 9no, 10mo, 11mo y 12mo grado.<br />
Nuestros estudiantes están trabaj<strong>and</strong>o fuerte en prepararse para las pruebas del Estado requerido en<br />
la primavera. Los estudiantes de undécimo grado van a tomar el examen de HSPA NJ durante la<br />
primera semana de marzo y van a completar un curso para el examen de SAT en mayo. Esto les<br />
ayudará para las solicitudes de las universidades. Los estudiantes de primaria comenzarán los<br />
