Significance of Campus Name: The Campus was named after the thirty-fifth President of the United States, John
Fitzgerald Kennedy. Not many people know that Kennedy grew up in the Bronx in the late 1920s when his father was a

Houses the following Schools: Bronx Engineering and Technology Academy (BETA), Bronx School for Law and
Finance, Bronx Theater High School, Marble Hill High School for International Studies, and John F Kennedy High School.
Total Enrollment (includes all schools): The JFK Campus is one of the city’s largest with 4,590 students and a building
that has 8 floors, complete with escalators.
Things to keep in mind: Students and visitors must go through security scanning before entering the building.
Brief History and highlights of JFK: The first class at Kennedy had 2000 students. At one point in time, the student
enrollment at Kennedy was 6000! Just after its first decade, under the leadership of Robert Mastruzzi, JFK High School
was selected by Harvard University Professor Sara Lawrence Lightfoot as one of the positive urban portrait schools in

de lo más grandes de la ciudad de Nueva York, con 4,950 estudiantes y un edificio de 8 pisos.

Breve Historia y Puntos que resaltar de la escuela John F. Kennedy: El primer grupo de alumnos que tuvo la
escuela fue de 2000 estudiantes. Hubo un tiempo en que la inscripción de estudiantes era de 6000. Justo después de
su primera década de operación, bajo la dirección de Robert Mastruzzi, la escuela fue seleccionada por la profesora de
la Universidad de Harvard, Sara Lawrence Lightfoot, como uno de los modelos urbanos positivos en sus inicios “Una
