SHIELDING OPTIONS<br />

OPCIONES DE BLINDAJE<br />

The efficiency of shielding <strong>de</strong>pends on the existing braid<br />

coverage (expressed as a percentage) and the electric<br />

conductivity. The aluminum clad polyester tape provi<strong>de</strong>s<br />

coverage, but has low conductivity. The braid wires have high<br />

conductivity and help in shielding, but they do not provi<strong>de</strong> 100%<br />

coverage by themselves.<br />

A high conductivity may be achieved with a single <strong>de</strong>nse braid<br />

or with two lower percentage braids (Quad type).<br />

La eficiencia <strong>de</strong> los blindajes <strong>de</strong>pen<strong>de</strong> <strong>de</strong> la cobertura que haya<br />

(se expresa en porcentaje) y <strong>de</strong> la conductividad eléctrica <strong>de</strong>l<br />

mismo. La cinta <strong>de</strong> plástico aluminizado ayuda a la cobertura<br />

pero aporta poca conductividad. Los <strong>alambres</strong> aportan<br />

conductividad y ayudan a la cobertura pero no pue<strong>de</strong>n llegar a<br />

cubrir por si solos el 100%.<br />

La conductividad alta se pue<strong>de</strong> lograr con una sola malla cerrada<br />

o con dos <strong>de</strong> menor cobertura (tipo Quad).<br />
