This list of plant and animal species logged in the Tingo Maria National Park is the result of a biological survey conducted in November 2014 under the agreement entered into by the SERNANP and the Empresa de Generación Huallaga-Odebrecht. It should be pointed out that this exhaustive scientific work – in which renowned professionals from different fields took part – has been the most important effort realized in the past 50 years of the park’s existence. The outcomes should serve not only to increase the knowledge of the area, but also to lay the foundations for expanding research in different fields. We also wish to stress that the contribution from the people living within the park’s borders and who benefit from its environmental services was essential for the work. 109 Tingo María National Park, 50 years
