• El marco mexicano <strong>de</strong> <strong>de</strong>nuncias, previsto <strong>en</strong> <strong>la</strong> Ley G<strong>en</strong>eral <strong>de</strong> Responsabilida<strong>de</strong>s Administrativas,<br />
es <strong>de</strong> amplio alcance y aplicable a todos los niveles <strong>de</strong> gobierno, incluy<strong>en</strong>do <strong>la</strong>s empresas propiedad<br />
<strong>de</strong>l Estado. Sin embargo, existe muy poca protección contra represalias <strong>en</strong> caso <strong>de</strong> ser divulgada<br />
<strong>la</strong> i<strong>de</strong>ntidad <strong>de</strong>l <strong>de</strong>nunciante, y hay una gran incertidumbre <strong>en</strong> cuanto a <strong>la</strong> manera <strong>en</strong> que serían<br />
aplicadas <strong>la</strong>s medidas <strong>de</strong> protección previstas actualm<strong>en</strong>te <strong>en</strong> <strong>la</strong> ley mexicana. <strong>México</strong> <strong>de</strong>be prohibir<br />
específicam<strong>en</strong>te el <strong>de</strong>spido o cualquier otra sanción a <strong>de</strong>nunciantes sin causa válida, justificada mediante<br />
un <strong>de</strong>bido proceso, si <strong>la</strong> información reportada pue<strong>de</strong> razonablem<strong>en</strong>te ser consi<strong>de</strong>rada como verídica<br />
<strong>en</strong> el mom<strong>en</strong>to <strong>en</strong> que fue reve<strong>la</strong>da (es <strong>de</strong>cir, si se consi<strong>de</strong>ra que <strong>la</strong> <strong>de</strong>nuncia fue hecha “<strong>de</strong> bu<strong>en</strong>a fe”).<br />
