This Guy<br />
He‟s here again. It‟s been twenty nights so far seeing him drowning in<br />
alcohol. I feel sad for him, he‟s not much older than me.<br />
I stare at him while I‟m washing the dishes. He always wears black clothes,<br />
and he never smiles. It makes him look terrifying. He‟s tall and strong, and<br />
his arms are covered with tattoos. There‟s always black ink. No colour.<br />
He comes every day after midnight to have a few drinks. Josh, the owner of<br />
the bar, my boss, told me that this guy lost his parents and his little sister in a<br />
car accident about two years ago. Everyone said that he didn‟t even cry at<br />
the funeral.<br />
Josh says that the guy has no feelings. He‟s senseless.<br />
I say that he can‟t be that bad. I mean, he lost his entire family, there‟s no<br />
way you can be alright with that.<br />
The glass I‟m washing up, slips through my fingers and it falls. Damn, I broke<br />
the glass. I have another look at the scary guy, and he surprises me when I<br />
see him smiling at me.<br />
