This pandemic has changed my godmather's Susan life. She is an
accountant in a cleaning supplies company. She used to go to work and
travel on weekends, but now she had to adjust to the new normal.
HOW THE PANDEMIC
CHANGED THE LIFE OF MY
GODMOTHER SUSAN

Before the pandemic, my gomother had a very
active life. She went to work in the mornings and at
night she used to go to study English at the British
academy. On weekends she used to go on a trip,
Sometimes, we had small family gatherings where
we watched Netflix movies at his house, they made
popcorn with coffee. We used to talk about k-
dramas for hours at her house. Now she doesn't
smile as much as before, but she says she is happy
because we all are in good health and we have
beaten the COVID-19

LIFE CHANGED BECAUSE OF THE PANDEMIC
currently she continues working, but
now she is using her laptop all day. she
had to stop going to the English
academy and she doesn't travel like
she used to. We cannot hold meetings
and she is very concerned about
everyone's health since we could get
infected again.
But not because of the pandemic we
have lost communication since now we
make video calls, I can't talk about k-
dramas for hours with her as we did
before, but when we have time we talk
through whatsapp or we call each
other.
also, now we have a new tradition, We
celebrate birthdays and always
prepare greetings by video call or
through social networks and we wish
ourselves a lot of happiness. Although
our life changed a lot, she never gives
up and she continues working and
studying with the same desire as
always. I am very proud of my
godmother.

SUDDEN CHANGE
LET'S LEARN TO TAKE CARE OF FOOD IN THESE TIMES...
JULIA BORDA
Before the covid-19 disease
pandemic, everything was normal as
we would all call them, in all the
restaurants you could see the large
number of people. But now
everything has changed. We must
keep distance for the good of our
health. Now we will all have to get
used to these changes.
6
""Everything has
changed, but the most
important thing is that
we can progress together"
-Julia Borda-
JULIA'S LIFE BEFORE AND AFTER THE PANDEMIC...
Julia was a lady cook who was well
known for her delicious seasoning.
Before the quarantine, her small
restaurant was very successful, and it
could even be said that the food was
missing and extra dishes had to be
added to the next day. Her dishes were
so successful and delicious that people
made orders from different places. It
could be said that they worked in the
cleanest way, always depending on the
health of the clients. But everything
change with the arrival of the covid-19 in
Peru, which led both large and small
companies to close and stay at home for
their care. It affected the economy, and
the following months everything could
be restored, before Julia went out to buy
the ingredients to cook now she cannot
and she has to stay at home.
Julia alwasy use a mask and disinfect her
hands when touching an object. Before
this pandemic, using protective body
porally was not necessary, but now it is.
These messures will lead us to a good
future and if we heed the state's
indications we can enjoy and thus be
able to get out of this pandemic
together. Not only Julia's life change but
also her way of work, she is now more
careful with the food that her children
bring her. It sounds curious that after a
pandemic we will learn something new
as in this one we could learn to take
better care of ourselves and help each
other in different ways and that we must
respect the rules.

This pandemic has

day to sell her

she cannot, so she

business and just
continue.
Let's read more

New Job
The pandemic changed my mom fanny's life.
Fanny was an artisan painter in an
independent company.
Before the pandemic, Fanny's life
was very active, in the mornings
she cooked and then went to work
until Puente Piedra. She painted
doll heads and then put hair on
them, finally combed them and
made them ready for them to put
together. She used to arrive at 9:00
PM tired and thinking about her
routine to the next day.
In spite of everything, my mother
misses her work a lot,of course.
Nevertheless, we spend more time
together, we have never had spent
so much time with us and that
makes us happy. She always says
"we can always reinvent ourselves"
New job:
My mother left the job of artisan
painter, now she sales nougat
online since somehow she has to
generate income and working from
home, she still takes care of us, she
attends more and we also help her
to write down the orders.

Unexpected changes
Fredy Condori
At that moment we are on lockdown because of the pandemic and
my father's sewing work changed a lot. Let's read more about this
change.
He used to go to my uncle's
house to collect cloth to
make dresses, he was doing
well in his job, but not now.
My dad used to finish the
dresses every Saturday, but
now there is no work, he
only makes masks and
rompers.
My dad misses his friends
from work, but he likes to
spend time with his family,
my dad sometimes gets
stressed because there is not
so much work, because of
this pandemic we are not
going to waste job
opportunities.
But this week my uncle
began to bring cloth, my
father is going to start doing
his job, but in a different
way, with health protocols.

NEW JOB
-MARIEVEL CISNEROS-
Before the pandemic we are
currently experiencing, my mother
Marievel worked selling vegetables
in the market.
Her routine was to cook early and then she went
to work until the afternoon. She used to work
from Monday to Sunday.
Now, my mom can’t work for a while because
they are constantly fumigating the market and
many people don’t go to shop. She was also at
risk of getting sick. However, my mother is
adapting and now she is able to continue
working, taking the respective health measures.
Her routine changed a lot, now she only works
from Monday to Saturday and returns home
earlier, therefore we spend more time together
and help each other.
