Courtesy Signals: Certain situationsoccur during a game when a signalwould clarify the play for theopponents and the of<strong>fi</strong>cials. Thefollowing non-mandatory courtesysignals should be used when thesesituations occur:(1) when the exchange has just endedand a disc has touched near theboundary line where the of<strong>fi</strong>cials or theopponents may be unsure if the discwas in or out, the folIowing signalsshould be used. If the disc was out, theplayer should point an arm and <strong>fi</strong>ngerat a45 degree angle up and away fromthe center of the court. If the disc wasin, the player should point an a"rm and<strong>fi</strong>nger at a 45 degree angle down andtowards the center of the court.(2) When a team calls a double and theopposing team agrees with the call,they should indicate the acknowledgeddouble by displaying two <strong>fi</strong>ngers in amanner as the "victory" or "peace" sign.204.03 ThrowingD. A throw made after a throw fromout-of-bounds is considered a latethrow. See section 204.03GVLTIMATE404.05 Start and restarting PlayD.
