Situé au sud-ouest de la Corse, le
territoire d’Ajaccio vous présente
son arrière-pays montagneux
et sa façade littorale sur fond
de trois vallées : le Prunelli et la
Gravona qui débouchent sur le
golfe d’Ajaccio et le Cruzzini qui
s’ouvre sur le golfe de Sagone.
Le territoire d’Ajaccio, regroupe
10 communes qui se sont formées
en communauté d’agglomération
afin de mettre en valeur, leur
patrimoine et leur culture.
Si Ajaccio demeure la ville
prestigieuse avec son passé
napoléonien, ses musées, ses
plages, ses îles Sanguinaires, les
villages qui l’entourent n’en sont
pas moins attractifs.
Chacun d’eux, riche de son histoire,
saura attirer votre curiosité.
Certains, semblent «suspendus»
à flanc de montagne et vous
accueillent depuis la vallée où ils
se sont développés. D’autres sont
«dissimulés» dans un écrin de
verdure comme pour y préserver
leurs veilles pierres, d’autres enfin,
dominent majestueusement le
site exceptionnel du golfe de Lava
et vous invitent à des promenades
inoubliables.
Located in south western Corsica, the Ajaccio
region invites you to discover not only its
beaches and coastline but also its mountainous
countryside and three picturesque valleys.
One valley is fed by the Cruzzini river which
flows into the bay of Sagone. The others are
fed by the Prunelli river and the Gravona river
which then both flow into the bay of Ajaccio.
The Ajaccio region consists of ten communes,
joined together as the “Communauté
d’Agglomération”, which promotes their
culture, history and heritage.
Although Ajaccio is a prestigious city, famous
for its Napoleonic history, museums, beaches
and the Sanguinaire isles, the surrounding
villages are also very interesting.
Each village is steeped in history. Some of
them seem to hang against a precipitous
mountainous backdrop, overlooking the
valley below. Some are hidden in the green
maquis, as if wanting to conceal their ancient
stones, whilst others afford spectacular
views of the scenic bay of Lava and provide
unforgettable walks.
Paysd’Ajaccio environnement nature
indimenticabili.
