Learning vocabulary 1 :<br />

• A little mouse comes out of <strong>the</strong> hole.<br />

• She looks around.<br />

• The cupboard is open.<br />

• She climbs into <strong>the</strong> cupboard.<br />

• There is a plate with cheese on it.<br />

• She eats a lot of cheese …<br />

• Then she falls asleep.<br />

• Dad comes into <strong>the</strong> kitchen.<br />

• He is hungry.<br />

• He takes <strong>the</strong> plate with <strong>the</strong> cheese on it.<br />

• The mouse jumps down.<br />

• Dad drops <strong>the</strong> plate and runs out of <strong>the</strong> kitchen.<br />

Phase 1: The teacher is telling <strong>the</strong> story gesticulating. The children are repeating <strong>the</strong> teacher’s<br />

gesticulation.<br />

Phase 2: The teacher is repeating <strong>the</strong> oral version, <strong>the</strong> children <strong>the</strong> mimic one.<br />

Phase 3: The sequences of <strong>the</strong> story are mixed, <strong>the</strong> children are responding by mimic.<br />

Phase 4: The children receive <strong>the</strong> strip, with <strong>the</strong> story. They are testing <strong>the</strong>ir comprehension of <strong>the</strong><br />

sequences.<br />

Phase 5: The puzzled story is recomposed by <strong>the</strong> children. Narration, dramatisation of <strong>the</strong> story.<br />
