Présent sur le terrain <strong>de</strong> la création contemporaine ou dirigeant les œuvres du répertoire,<br />
Patrick Davin confirme une carrière ouverte à toutes les musiques. Il a étudié la direction<br />
d'orchestre à Liège et ensuite à Toulon. Il mène une carrière internationale au plus haut<br />
niveau, et est actuellement premier chef invité <strong>de</strong> l'Opéra Royal <strong>de</strong> <strong>Wallonie</strong>, professeur <strong>de</strong><br />
direction d'orchestre au Conservatoire royal <strong>de</strong> Bruxelles (section néerlandophone) et<br />
directeur musical <strong>de</strong> l'Orchestre symphonique <strong>de</strong> Mulhouse. En 2013, il est commissaire du<br />
<strong>Festival</strong> Ars Musica, et invité d'honneur du <strong>Festival</strong> <strong>de</strong> <strong>Wallonie</strong>. À cette occasion, Patrick<br />
Davin traverse <strong>de</strong> juin à novembre les sept festivals placés sous le signe <strong>de</strong> la Passion.<br />
Roméo et Juliette, Don Juan, Siegfried-Idyll ou encore les Liebeslie<strong>de</strong>r ne sont que quelques<br />
œuvres inspirées par cette thématique, qu'il dirigera tout au long <strong>de</strong> la saison lors d’une<br />
dizaine <strong>de</strong> concerts.
