ode à la nature gourmande. Agrémenté de miel, de caramel, de vanille ; de cannelle ;
MA RIE SA IN T PIERRE : MA N IFESTEMEN T FEMME
THE SHORT FILM
The film, made for the launch of the Fall/Winter 2012 collection, was produced by
ROD ÉO and directed by Leda & St. Jacqu es, and carries us into a poetic world. A
modern setting paired with natural movements will leave you contemplating its dreamlike
beauty. This contemporary and abstract universe, accompanied by Mozart’s
music, will enhance the emotions channeled by Marie Saint Pierre’s creations.
THE RUN WA Y
Going against the rules laid out by conventional fashion shows, the Fall/Winter 2012
collection will be presented during an event that will bring us to the essence of the
short film. With a modern spirit, Marie Saint Pierre is revisiting her inspirations through
hybrid pieces, transforming the creations. Both the clothing and accessories from the
collection showcase molded work where pleating, gathering, and the mix of materials
give them new dimension. Finding the right balance between tangible and ephemeral,
fantasy and function, and beauty and intelligence is the premise behind Marie Saint
Pierre’s Fall/Winter 2012 collection.
A BOUT MA ISON MA RIE SA IN T PIERRE
PRESS RELEASE
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
B A N D C, EA U D E PA RFUM
Prominent Canadian designer Marie Saint Pierre is adding an extension of the senses to
her universe. Apart from Ready-to-Wear, Bridal and her home décor collection, the
fashion maverick is launching her own perfume line. Following the steps of many
reputable fashion houses, Marie is introducing B and C «eau de parfum» that are the
perfect complément to her world of elegance, luxury and comfort.
THE FRA G RA N CES
Inspired by the scenery of Montreal, personal travel memoirs and the cosmic palette of
garden aromas, B and C by Marie Saint Pierre are two classic and chic fragrances
worthy of a prestigious fashion house. «A perfume tells an unprecedented story. I
wanted B and C to make a mark and haunt the Memory. I also wanted them to be
scents with a delicate mystery.» The anonymity behind their name intensifies this
mystery, leaving more space to the imagination.
Marie entrusted Evelyn El Koubi of Luxe Alternative to realize her vision. Both scents
are rich and lingering. These perfumes are not for shy but for sensual woman who are
generally upbeat and optimistic. Both fragrances are exclusively made in Paris.
Although Marie Saint Pierre was completely immersed in the design procès, she
commissioned Canadian artist Melanie Laplante, in an effort to encourage local talent.
Laplante created a unique piece of fused glass in turquoise hues for B and orange for
C, adding a pop of unexpected color to the black lacquered bottles. Each piece can be
worn as a necklace or bracelet bringing a humorous touch of novelty to the collection.
The bottles are elegantly packaged in a craft paper box and retail for $125.
B – SA CRED LY SEN SUOUS
Sweet notes from caramel, vanilla and cinnamon blend with sensual notes of cedar and
sandalwood that get magnified by violet and the essence of Turkish rose, creating a
refined mix of ingredients that inspire passion, confidence and sensuality.
C - PURELY A PHROD ISIA C
C's alluring scent is based on a wild and enchanting velvety leather that melts on the
skin, the scent of freshly cut cedar, white flowers and musk, creating a lingering and
voluptuous spice. C is a seductive, more oriental combination that awakens the senses.
