JULIETTE RECAMIER (1777 - 1849)<br />
Juliette Récamier, née à Lyon le 3 décembre 1777,<br />
épousa à 15 ans le riche banquier Jacques-Rose<br />
Récamier. Installée dans un superbe hôtel particulier à<br />
Paris, rue de Naples, Juliette, jeune femme ravissante et<br />
cultivée, reçoit dans son salon littéraire tous les artistes<br />
comptant à son époque : écrivains, poètes, musiciens,<br />
sculpteurs, ébénistes, et peintres.<br />
Sa beauté merveilleuse devint légendaire et elle lança le<br />
style Antique.<br />
Parfumée de poudre de riz à l’iris, elle reçoit ses invités<br />
dans son boudoir.<br />
C’est en hommage à cette figure de l’Histoire de France<br />
que nous avons créé IRIS, parfum fleuri poudré.<br />
Juliette Recamier, was born in Lyon on the 3rd December<br />
1777, she became the 15 year old bride of the rich<br />
banker Jacques-Rose Recamier and lived in their elegant<br />
mansion on rue de Naples in Paris. Juliette, highly<br />
cultured, attracted to her salon many notable artists - the<br />
famous writers, poets, musicians, sculptors, furniture<br />
makers and painters of her time.<br />
Her marvellous beauty had become legendary and she<br />
launched the Antique style.<br />
Complemented by the fragrance of her Iris face powder,<br />
she we1comed her guests into her boudoir.<br />
It is in honour of this notable woman in French History<br />
that we have created our IRIS, flower powder scented<br />
