ANNABOLENAOPERA SERIA EN DEUX ACTESDE GAETANO DONIZETTI (1797-1848)LIVRET DE FELICE ROMANI (1788-1865)CRÉATION : MILAN, TEATRO CARCANO,26 DÉCEMBRE 1830Anna Bolena fait partie, avec Maria Stuarda et Roberto Devereux, de lafameuse trilogie donizetienne des reines de l'époque Tudor.Créée triomphalement à Milan en 1830, par la célébrissime Giuditta Pasta,l'œuvre tombe néanmoins dans l'oubli à la fi n du XIX e siècle. Il faudraattendre 1957 et Maria Callas pour que ce chef-d'œuvre du bel cantoromantique revienne au répertoire.Depuis les plus grandes divas se sont confrontées à cet opéra qui évoquel'un des destins féminins historiques les plus tragiques.10
