If [AST] button is pressed for longer than
1.7 sec the Service List with available Service
Stations will be updated automatically by a
complete scan through all DAB Channels.
While scanning is in process the actual scanned
channel is indicated on the display.
When the [AST] button is pressed during the
update-process, the update operation is
aborted, and the old Service List content will
be restored.
In addition to the Services found within a
Service List update, the Services of the last 3
received Ensembles are also part of the Service
List.
How to switch between Service Stations:
The Service Stations can be selected by
pressing:
[SEEK/TRACK ] or [SEEK/TRACK ]
[ ]: next Service Station in Service List
[ ]: previous Service Station in Service List
or
by rotating the [TUNE] knob
Clockwise: next Service Station on Service List
Counter clockwise: previous Service Station on
Service List
How to switch between Components:
If a Service Station contains several
Components, the DAB tuner regards
Components as if they are individual Service
Stations. When you operate the [TUNE] knob
or button, you will automatically scroll through
the Components of each Service. The
Components name will then be displayed
instead of the Service name.
NOTE:
Scrambled Audio Services (e.g. Pay-content) is
not supported by this unit. Label information
will be displayed, but without audio.
Automatic Mute
Function
The DAB Receiver includes a Mute function to
avoid disturbing noises caused by low DABsignal
quality or DAB-signal loss. Within the
Mute function the DAB receiver automatically
checks the actual DAB-signal quality. If the
quality falls under a certain level, the DAB
Receiver will automatically fade the audio
volume to 30% of the original level.
In case of complete signal loss, the DAB
Receiver will immediately mute the audio
signal completely.
When the DAB Signal recovers to a certain
level, the audio will fade gradually to the
original level.
Time Shift Mode
Time Shift mode allows you to replay the
received DAB audio for a limited period.
Therefore the received audio content is always
stored in digital format in the memory while
receiving, even if DAB is not the actual mode
(e.g. while listening to CD or FM). The
maximum Time Shift value is limited due to
the memory capacity and depends on the time
of receiving the actual Service Station and the
data rate of the Service Station. Please refer to
the "Time Shift capacity table" in the
Specifications chapter.
