METHODOLOGY<br />

The Cannabis Friendly Business Association engaged Mainstreet Research to<br />

conduct a poll in the city of Toronto. Mainstreet surveyed a random sample of<br />

2,447 Toronto Residents by Smart IVR on May 24, 2016. A mixture of landlines<br />

and cell phones were surveyed. Margin of error: +/- 1.98%, 19 times out of 20.<br />

Results were weighed by geography, age and gender based on the 2011<br />

Canadian Census.<br />

Medicinal cannabis has been legal and regulated by Health Canada since 2001, new rules to<br />

restrict growth and access were brought in to force in 2014. Are you aware that medicinal<br />

cannabis has been legal in Canada since 2001?<br />

The Supreme Court of Canada in BC ruled that the current regulations for medicinal cannabis<br />

are unconstitutional in February 2016 and gave the federal government 6 month to draft new<br />

regulations. Health Canada did not appeal the Supreme Court decision and says it will draft<br />

new regulation before the deadline of August 24 2016. Were you aware that new regulations<br />

were expected for medicinal cannabis?<br />
