Sainte Marie
Pour sa troisième édition, le festival des baleines de Sainte
Marie se déroulera cette année du 08 au 16 juillet. Les
organisateurs de l’événement promettent encore une
fois aux visiteurs une grande fête digne de cette petite île
paradisiaque très prisée des vacanciers.
En effet, le festival des baleines est une occasion unique
rassemblant, une semaine durant, toute la population de Nosy
Boraha ainsi que les diverses habitants de la grande île pour
fêter ces mammifères marins. Le début des festivités sera
marqué par un grand carnaval, suivis de diverses activités et
animations autant culturelles que sportives organisées autour
de l’événement. Cette petite île paradisiaque vivra encore une
fois au rythme d’un festival haut en couleur.
Les visiteurs viendront pour faire la fête, ils ne manqueront
pas de partir au large du Canal de Sainte Marie pour aller à la
rencontre des baleines, la principale attraction de la région entre
le mois de juillet et le mois d’octobre. L’association CETAMADA
poursuivra ses actions de sensibilisation pour la protection de
ces mammifères marins qui viennent chaque année dans les
eaux de Sainte Marie pour se reproduire.
For its third edition this year, the Sainte Marie whale
festival will take place from July 8th to 16th. The
event organizers promise once again a well deserving
celebration to visitors of this small paradise island very
appreciated by vacationers.
This is undeniable. The whale festival is a unique opportunity
gathering the Nosy Boraha population along with other
inhabitants of the great island, for a week period, to expose
these notorious marine mammals. The celebration kick-off
will be highlighted by a big carnival, followed by different
recreational and cultural activities and animations organized
around this event. This small paradisiac island will once again
live in the rhythm of a joyful environment.
Visitors will come to celebrate, but they certainly will not fail
to take the opportunity to sail off Sainte Marie’s channel to meet
the main attraction of the region between July and October: the
whales!!! CETAMADA, a non-profit organization, will pursue
its efforts to raise awareness aiming to protect these marine
mammals which come every year in Saint Marie’s waters to
reproduce.
