Traditionnellement, les papiers beaux-arts étaient tous faits à base de coton, ce qui leur garantissait la meilleure stabilité dans le temps.<br />
Mais de nos jours les techniques ont considérablement perfectionné les papiers à base de cellulose de bois, leur conférant les mêmes<br />
qualités de conservation. Cependant, les fibres de coton étant creuses, les papiers à base de coton ont une meilleure capacité d’absorption<br />
particulièrement intéressante en aquarelle. Ce papier aquarelle pur coton répond aux attentes des aquarellistes les plus exigeants : absorption,<br />
planéité du papier mouillé, possibilité de repentir y compris sur le demi-satin (possibilité d’effacer une trace de peinture).<br />
Traditionnally fine-art papers were produced exclusively with cotton, which guaranteed the best stability in time. But the present techniques<br />
have really improved the wood-cellulose papers, giving them the same quality of preservation. However, cotton fibres are hollow, so they have a<br />
better capacity of absorption of water particularly interesting in watercolour. This paper facilitates retouching, has outstanding light reproduction<br />
and retains colour transparency. The grain has been designed to enhance the background.<br />
