Welcome!2018 – 2019 was ayear of significantchange buttogether, we rose tothe challenge andare looking forwardto continuing much ofthe same during 2019– 2020.Ayo FalanaOn behalf of everyone at the University of WolverhamptonStudents’ Union, hello and welcome to our Impact Report for2018 – 2019. This report highlights the commendable work thatour entire team have completed over the year.It is fair to say that 2018 – 2019 was a year of significant changebut together, we rose to the challenge and are looking forwardto continuing much of the same during 2019 – 2020. We haveworked tirelessly to ensure that our services continue to meet theevolving needs of students regardless of these times of change.In doing so we have been able to engage with more studentsand start to further our understanding of the needs of thedifferent demographics of the members that we represent.We continue to enjoy a very effective partnership with theUniversity, whilst ensuring we remain their critical friend. This hasproven particularly beneficial with the work being undertakenaround enhancing, hearing and acting upon the student voiceand experience both within the University as well as the SU and isreflected amongst other work respectively.On behalf of this year’s team, I would like to thank formerCommunity Officer, Jade Francis for her contributions and goingforward eagerly anticipate the work and campaigns that myselfand the Officer team – Aida, Esther and Nabil – look to put intopractice.
