Axolotl

The Axolotl is a Mexican, underwater

caudate. Axolotls are so called

“duration-larva”. That means when the

Axolotl is sexually mature, he doesn’t

leave the form of a larva. The name of

the Axolotl comes from the Aztec word

“Nahuatl” and this means “Watermonster”.

Alexander von Humbold

brought the first Axolotl to Europe in

August 1804. Could you imagine having

such creature as a pet?

The Axolotl is 23 to 28-centimetre-long

but in rare occasions it is possible that

this animal can be about 30 centimetres

big. Their tail is a so-called rudder tail.

On their side they have furrows. Their

limbs are quite short but strong. On the

flat and wide head, you can find gills on

both sides and behind you can find

cartilage teeth.

The big mouth is subordinate, the snout

is a bit round and the lidless eyes are far

away. You can only know their gender

when you look at their cloacae. If it is a

man, the cloacae is a bit arched out but

if it is a woman the cloacae is flat. Their

usual skin colour is dark grey or brown

marbled and on the belly side a bit

lighter. Today many other colour

variants got breed.

The normal home place of Axolotls is

the Xochimilc-lake and the Chalco-lake

in Mexico-city. These lakes are

remnants of a water system. In the

Texcoco-lake all Axolotl disappeared.

These animals are nocturnal, like cold

and oxygenated water.

It can be an amazing pet, but it could be

hard to handle. What do you think of an

Axolotl now?

Overwatch

Overwatch is a third person shooter game published by

Blizzard in the 24 th of May 2016. The game has about 28

maps to play on. There are 28 heroes you can play and 8

different game modes.

Every of the 28 heroes has unique abilities and the game

developer even made own short movies for the heroes to

show their personality traits. All heroes even have their own

sprays and slogans. The heroes are subdivided into three

categories. These three categories are “Tank”, “Damage” and

“Support”. Every hero gets put into a category depending on

their abilities. The “Supporters” can heal. The “Tanks” have

much health or a shield. The “Damagers” do much damage

with their weapon or have abilities which make good damage.

Overwatch

The 8 different game modes are: Control, Assault, Escort, Capture the

flag, Hybrid, Elimination, Deathmatch and Team Deathmatch. In

Control you have to capture a point and you have to defend this point

for an amount of time. Assault is where you just have to capture two

points, but the enemy team has to defend these points or the opposite.

In Escort you have to escort a car to the end of the way and the enemy

team has to defend it again or the opposite. This game mode is

sometimes mixed with Assault and that’s called Hybrid. The game

mode Capture the flag is self-explaining. You or the enemy team have

to get the flag and carry it into your base but your character you play is

slower than normally. Elimination is one of the game modes where you

can play alone. You have to kill your opponent to win one round. You

have to win three rounds to win the game. This game mode is also

possible to be played in teams. And the last two game modes are Team

Deathmatch and Deathmatch. In Deathmatch you have to kill other

players to get points. One round ends after one player has 20 points.

Team Deathmatch is the same but with teams.

So, know you something about Overwatch. A bit about the heroes and

the game modes. Why not consider buying it?

Nintendo Switch

6

The Nintendo Switch (Switch for short)

is the first hybrid gaming console of the

Japanese developer company Nintendo. It

was released on the 3 rd of March 2017 in

Europe. You can play over TV or you can

take the handheld console and play with

that. Did u ever consider buying it?

The console is similar to tablets or

smartphones but with removable

controllers so called Joy-Cons. The Joy-

Cons can be used to play alone or together

with your friends. To play on a TV you

have to put the handheld console into a

station which you connected with a screen.

You can buy a Pro Controller who looks

like a classic gamepad. To play a game you

can buy and download it in the Nintendo E-

Shop or you buy so called Game Cards.

The storage of the Nintendo switch is

32 GB big and it can extend until 2

TB. The handheld consoles screen

has a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels.

The processor is based on the Tegra-

Series and runs with 1020 MHz. The

RAM is 4 GB big and is type

LPDDR4. The battery of the

Nintendo switch remains for 2 to 6

hours.

Now you know something about the

Nintendo switch. Do you want to buy

it now?

Sightseeing in Graz

Have you ever been in Graz? Have you

seen this beautiful city? – No? Then you

definitely miss something.

Graz is the capital city of the province

Styria in Austria and the population is about

300.000 inhabitants and therefore is Graz

the 2 nd largest city of Austria. The Mur is a

big river and flows through the city.

If you go to Graz you have to see all the

great sights, for example the Schlossberg.

The Schlossberg is a beautiful hill among

the city. On the Schlossberg you have a

great view over the entire city. Another

highlight is the Clock Tower, which is on

the top of the Schlossberg. You can climb

up the hill by foot or you can use the

“Schlossbergbahn” or the elevator.

There are also a lot of amazing

buildings in Graz like the

“Kunsthaus”, the Island in the Mur,

the “Hauptplatz” with the “Rathaus”,

palace Eggenberg, the Landhaus, the

courtyard or the armoury. The

armoury is a house where all the old

weapons and armour are issued.

And when you are on a sightseeing

tour and you get hungry – no

problem. Graz has a lot of great

restaurants, bars and Coffeehouses.

Concluding I only can recommend

seeing this beautiful city with these

amazing sights. So, if you go to

Graz have a nice time and enjoy the

city.

Coronavirus in Austria

Have you noticed the Corona

Virus? I’m sure you have. This

article will inform you what COVID-

19 is and what the consequences are.

The Corona Virus is an infectious

disease, which is dangerous, as you

don’t recognise that you have the

virus in your body, since you get the

symptoms about 10 days after you

got infected. The spreading is very

fast, because it is easy to transfer the

virus. It is very dangerous for the

older generation and for people with

pre-existing illnesses.

To protect the people and especially the highrisk

groups almost every government inserted

measures to embank the spreading. In Austria

we have following measures: almost everyone

has to stay at home, there are only three reasons

to leave the house: to buy essential things, to

help other people and to go for a walk (but only

alone or with people of your household).

Actual we have 10.636 infected people and

1.071 of them are in a hospital, 215 need

intensive care. Unfortunately, there are already

146 cases od death. (01.04.2020)

To stop the spreading of the virus everyone has

to follow the instructions of the government. I

only want to say one last thing, please stay at

home if you can.

Climate change and protection

How would you feel about living in a flooded city? This

may sound crazy now, but it could happen earlier than you

might expect. And the reason is called “Climate change”.

The climate change is a long-term change in the weather of

a region (or the whole world) over a particular period of

time. As the climate is changing, consequences for the earth

and people appear. There are different consequences like:

cities could get flooded, as the world gets heated and the ice

on the polar caps melt, the water level rises. If the level

rises cities by the sea (like Sydney) could get flooded. Other

effects are extreme weather situations and different animal

and plant species may extinct.

To fight against the climate change everyone is needed.

Everyone can contribute to stop the climate change and here

are some ways how.

Climate change and protection

Eco-friendly traveling: Try to use the public

transport to get from one place to the other. For short

distances try to walk or ride your bike and when

there is no other possibility and you use your car,

you could do ride sharing. Furthermore, if it is

possible avoid flying.

Overthink your consumer behaviour: Only buy

things you really need and if you buy them, buy ecofriendly

products. If you buy food, you could buy at

local business. Also stop buying fruits and

vegetables in the winter if they grow in summer.

Save energy: There are such easy and logical ways

to save energy, like turning the light off when you

leave a room, or drying your clothes in the sun when

it is possible. Another point is to shut down the

devices which are in the standby modus.

This are only some points, though there are so many

small things you could do to help to stop the climate

change and only if everyone helps, we can stop it.

So, lets help as long as we can do it.
