TIPS

· Always read the instructions that come with your forehead thermometer carefully before using

it. Each model may have different safety precautions.

· Before using a forehead thermometer, check that the forehead is clean and dry. Dirt and

moisture on the skin may affect the reading.

· Make sure that the user has been inside the house for at least 30 minutes before using a

forehead thermometer. Exposure to extreme heat or cold outdoors may alter your body

temperature temporarily.

· For the best results, both the user and the forehead thermometer should be exposed to the

same ambient temperature for approximately ten minutes before taking a temperature.

· Contact forehead thermometers are usually easier to use when you’re taking your own

temperature.

Non-contact: It uses infrared technology, and can show readings in Celsius or Fahrenheit. The

temperature can be detected within 5cm (2 inch) measurement distance, more healthy and

convenient.

FAQ’S

What is the range (distance from gun to target) or recommended for this gun? How accurate is it at

6-8 feet range??

The 12:1 ratio means at 12" the gun is accurate for a one inch spot. So at 6'-8' it will be accurate for a

6"-8" inch spot. So the farther you get away from the spot being measured, the less accurate it will

be. Like Cheryl said, think of it like a cone.

Will this take the temperature of a child's fever also?

Ignore the BS answers about "radiation" and dangers of infrared etc. The "radiation" is the laser

which is as dangerous as a laser pointer and in fact is what it's there for, to show you where the

thing is reading. It reads infrared it doesn't emit it. BUT it has too wide a range and is not accurate

enough for taking body temperatures. The same technology is used in non contact thermometers for

reading body temperature but they have a smaller range and are more accurate. +/- two degrees is

pretty useless when you are looking for tenths of a degree changes.

Does it read in Fahrenheit also??

Yes

Does this have a fahrenheit reading option? Does it come with English instructions?

It does have the Fahrenheit reading option but it does not come with English instructions.

How close do you have to be for it to get a good reading?

Normally, when the distance between the instrument and your forehead is less than 1.97 inches,

you will get a good reading.
