The Malinois is the only belgian shepherd dog with a short coat. It is also reputedly the oldest form,<br />
originating from the vicinity of Malines in Belgium. Rather ironically, it was only when the working<br />
value of this hardy dog declined, at the end of the last century, that interest was rekindled in it.<br />
REMARKS<br />
The breed obtains its full adult coloration by the time it is 18 months old.<br />
