The Block is situated on the road side of Phulanakhara­Kakatpur road. It is 30KMs
away from District headquarter and the Block is surrounded by Biridi Block in North,
Balianta in South, Niali in East and Baranga Block in the west. It is a highly flood prone
Block surrounded by big rivers like Devi, Kandal, Chhinda, Kushabhadra and Prachi.
There is every likelihood of disaster due to flood. Further the Block is covered under
cyclone and earthquake. The geographical area of the Block is around 119.33 SQKM.
