TheEnglish three-year <strong>program</strong>me (that isundergoing change) is a narrow andfocussed system based on increasingspecialization. In this system, Masters isequivalent to Honours.(b) To produce competent science graduates(with honours), the duration of the courseis lengthened and the total number of unitsincreased.(c) The three to four-years <strong>program</strong>me that issuggested awards an Honours degreebased on a fundamental discipline that isstrengthened by core and elective subjectsthat add flexibility.(d) In designing the structure of the science<strong>program</strong>me, the compulsory universitycourses are not taken into account in thecalculation of the total units but coursesthat are integral to the achievement of thelearning outcomes (for example ethics,communication, interpersonal skills) arecounted in the "Ethics and Humanities"component.

Aspek<strong>dalam</strong> kursus wajib universiti yang relevan <strong>bagi</strong> Sains seelokeloknyadipindah <strong>dan</strong> dilaksanakan di bawah kawalanfakulti/<strong>program</strong>.The courses cover the aspects of Ethics and Humanities thatwill develop better skills in communication and ethicaldecision-making and practice. These courses should beintegrated with the other Science courses with the addition ofsome specific courses.
