Con i fili ricavate dall‘ anima delle penne di pavone vengono ricamati disegni ornamentali su diversi articoli di pelletteria.<br />

Impronte di foglie naturali, come pure impronte delle venature di legno vecchio, su cuoio vegetale.<br />

Featherquill embroidery<br />
is an old craft and was mainly used to decoate wide leather belts. With the narrow strips cut from the feather quills of<br />
a peacock tail, the embroidery is executed on to the leather, following a pre-drawn ornamental pattern. The fine holes<br />
made with an awl have to be stabbed very precisely to avoid the tearing of leather as the quill strip is pulled through.<br />
His favourite projects are money purses, wallets and all kinds of ladies handbags. Besides the quill embroidery L. Thaler<br />
has developed a technique of natural leaf impressions on leather witch he combines with carving and tooling.
