In Table 4, the lepidoptera species and subspecies found in Tanzania described by 1 Belgian
lepidopterist is given. Among 9 scientific names, 9 names are currently valid, while no proposed name
is invalid. Rates of success of the author is 100. The average rate is consequently 100.

In Table 5, the lepidoptera species and subspecies found in Tanzania described by 3
Norwegian lepidopterists are given. Among 308 scientific names, 191 names are currently valid, while
117 proposed names are invalid. Rates of successes of the authors varies from 28.45 to 94.11. The
average rate is 62.01, while the same rate for Zaire is 24.35 (cf. Koçak & Kemal,2007).
