7. The eligibility <strong>of</strong> the candidates shall be determined as on the last date <strong>of</strong> the receipt <strong>of</strong> applications as per the second advertisement (i. e. 6 th July, 2011),<br />

as per the UGC Regulations 2010 and <strong>University</strong> Rules. Accordingly, to be eligible, an applicant shall have to meet the following criteria:<br />

(A) Must have a minimum <strong>of</strong> 55 percent Marks (60% in case <strong>of</strong> Management/Business Administration) or an equivalent grade in point scale where<br />

grading system is followed, at the Master's level in a relevant subject from a recognised <strong>University</strong>; Relaxation up to 5% in the marks is to be<br />

provided to the candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST) and Persons with Disabilities; and<br />

(B) Must have qualified the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC/CSIR or a similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET. However,<br />

an applicant who has been awarded a PhD degree in accordance with the UGC Regulation 2009 shall be exempted from the requirements <strong>of</strong> the<br />

minimum eligibility condition <strong>of</strong> NET/SLET/SET. Further NET/SLET/SET shall also not be required for such Masters Programmes in disciplines for<br />

which NET/SLET/SET is not conducted.<br />
